There are many aggregates and different people will have their different favourites; however, a lot of people will be in agreement when it comes to granite. For construction experts, the type of material that is used makes a big difference to any project, and here are just a few of the reasons why many specialists consider granite to be the best aggregate.

1.      It's a hard aggregate

Granite is a very hard material, which makes it perfect for a variety of construction projects. It is used very often when making buildings, roads and other constructions, since it is unlikely to break and will not change shape when it is put under pressure, unlike some other materials. However, one of the problems with granite is the fact that it is so difficult to cut or shape. This is, of course, due to the nature of the material and because it is indeed a hard aggregate, but this is one of the downsides of granite. Thanks to ever developing technologies, it is hoped that one day it might be very easy to cut and shape granite.

Granite can also look quite different depending on where it has come from – some pieces of granite can even have quite a shiny appearance. Because of this, granite is also popular with interior designers, and it's often found in kitchens and bathrooms of many homes.
